Trafficking and Personhood
Trafficking in persons is modern-day slavery. It involves the use of force, fraud, or coercion to obtain some type of labor or commercial sex act. This injustice affects millions of vulnerable men, women, and children every year, stealing their freedom, dignity, and autonomy in the name of greed and lust. Human beings are not commodities. We are not objects or property. We are made in the image of God and therefore, possess an intrinsic value and worth. Human trafficking is a core violation of our personhood.
