By Deborah Riffenburgh — On Tuesday, November 2, 2021, Wilkes County commissioners voted unanimously to protect pre-born children from abortion as part of the Personhood Alliance’s Safe Cities and Counties initiative, becoming the third county in the nation to do so. This was the first step in a unique three-phased approach that empowers citizens to take control at the local level and peacefully defy the unjust ruling of Roe v. Wade.

Schools and businesses are closed. Routine medical procedures are being delayed or cancelled. Yet abortion facilities are still open—some in direct defiance of orders to close. And in a backwards turn of events, pro-lifers following social distancing guidelines are being arrested or threatened with arrest for offering help and hope to moms and dads at risk for abortion.
